High in Demand

CDL Drivers are VERY high in demand in the states of Pennsylvania and Ohio.

CDL Drivers are needed as heavy and trailer-truck drivers as well as school bus and transit bus drivers.

The employment growth for CDL Drivers from 2024 to 2034 will be 8% (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics 8/2025). This growth is much faster than average.

Pennsylvania is facing a persistent, long-term shortage of heavy truck drivers, driven by an aging workforce, high turnover, and, as of late 2025, a continued decline in overall industry employment. Projections of over 10,000 annual job openings for PA drivers through 2032.  (O*NET OnLine)

The median pay for a CDL Driver is $59,500 annually (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 8/2025).
