Program Information

Why Welding Technology?

These programs were developed to meet the demands of local businessmen who continuously have a need for talented craftsmen. Welders who keep up to date on the latest technology are in high demand with employers. Welding skills are highly transferable and the recent boom in domestic energy production has increased the demand for welders to build, maintain, and repair rigs or pipelines all over the United States. Successful students will be given the opportunity to earn AWS certifications.

What does WACTC offer?

This 300 hour course prepares students in oxy-fuel, shielded metal arc, gas metal arc, gas tungsten arc, flux core welding, carbon arc, plasma cutting, manual and radiography cutting and oxy-fuel brazing processes.

WACTC prides itself on having 36 booths in the largest welding training facility in the area.

Employment opportunities include:

  • Maintaining the nations infrastructure (bridges, highways & buildings)

  • Construction of new power generation facilities (pipelines for natural gas & oil)

Classes are held:
Two evenings per week (to be determined) 5:30 PM until 9:30 PM for 38 weeks

Program Costs

Tuition: $7,815.00
Books & Fees: $180.00

Total: $7,995.00
