Western Area CTC would like to congratulate Health Occupations student Julie Bennett (CM), one of five scholars chosen to represent Pennsylvania for the CTE Presidential Award. The U.S. Presidential Scholars in Career and Technical Education (CTE) Award is a prestigious honor for high school seniors who excel in career and technical education. The award recognizes students who demonstrate academic achievement, technical competence, employability skills, and innovation in addressing real-world challenges. Up to 20 Presidential Scholars will be chosen in April by the Commission on Presidential Scholars.
The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964 by President Lyndon B. Johnson to recognize the most distinguished graduating high school seniors.
