On that note-our students have been given the task of “Adopting a Grandparent” from one of our affiliated clinical facilities for the holidays. These facilities include: Friendship Village, Greenery Center, McMurray Hills Manor, Presbyterian Senior Care and Transitions Healthcare.
Although the students are not required to give a physical gift, we are asking them to spend a minimum of one hour with their assigned “grandparent”. We hope this will help rebuild this schools connections with the local community as well as teach the students more about the caring side of nursing.
