Students will gain a fundamental knowledge of concepts which govern the world and universe in which we live. Students will gain a working understanding of how these concepts relate to everyday situations including their trade, Western Area CTC shop, and everyday life. Inquiry based methods and other methods will be used in laboratory experiences where students will explore, discover and verify concepts and relationships discussed in the course.
Course Description:
The science and technology course is designed to allow students to apply scientific principles in practical situations. The course provides training in Force, Work, Rate, Resistance, Energy, and Power. Students use these principles, where applicable, in mechanical, fluid, electrical, and thermal systems. Hands-on laboratory exercises are done for each topic.
